Michael Lacey: Improving Mathematics Research

Michael Lacey is an important mathematical researcher and professor from Georgia Tech. He studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and went on to complete graduate studies at other colleges. His work in a variety of mathematical areas has been cited throughout contemporary research in the field.

Lacey’s work has also included diverse topics like random ergodic theorems as well as studies regarding Bourgain’s Entropy. There are several different aspects of estimation and spectral criteria that Lacey addressed in his work. With a multi-dimensional approach to problem-solving, he has made progress both independently and with other scientists.

Lacey completed postdoctoral research at Louisiana State University and went on to UNC (the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill). He also completed research at Indiana University where his work was honored by the National Science Foundation.

Fellowships and scholarships have been common throughout Lacey’s academic career. He was also recognized with the Salem Prize for his work with Christoph Thiele and Alberto Calderon in 1996. The work that he completed since that time has been primarily at Georgia Tech where he is a professor and scientist. He continues investigating dynamic topics available throughout the field.
