We provide easy to use, cutting edge technology solutions utilized by over one million inmates spread in over three thousand agencies in the region to communicate with their families and associates.
Securus Technologies recently issued a press release challenging our competitor GTL to a technology contest on who is better in terms of product sets, investments, latest technology, and customer care carried out by an independent judge. According to a news release carried by PRNewswire here, we indicated that surveys and testimonies from customers who converted from using GTL systems and currently use our systems confirmed for us that our network systems and products were superior, more efficient and economical compared to GTL’s.
We employ a large number of researchers, engineers and information technology specialists in our facilities. Our facilities and infrastructure investments are extensive such as a 225-seat call center, technical support, and training groups in just one location. We have also invested heavily in numerous strategic technology acquisitions to become the top rated high-tech communications solutions provider. For example, in 2015 we acquired JPay, a prominent provider of inmate payments, text-based communications, tablets and cloud systems to enable access to education, email, books, music, and games. In the same year, we also bought out Guarded Exchange and CellBlox; an inmate-related services provider and a telecommunications firm respectively. Between 2012 and 2015, we made a total of nine acquisitions to consolidate our position.
Most recently, Securus Technologies made it onto the final list of Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service under the Customer Service Training Team of the Year category. In addition, we received accreditation and an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
